Christoph Maria Herbst is a German actor and voice actor who was born on February 9, 1966 in Wuppertal. After graduating from high school, he studied German, English and theater, film and television studies at the University of Cologne.

Herbst initially began his career as a theater actor before making his first appearances in film and television in the early 1990s. He became known to a wider audience through his role as Stromberg in the television series of the same name, which aired from 2004 to 2012. He has won numerous awards for his portrayal of the sleazy insurance salesman, including the German Television Award, the Grimme Award and the Bambi.

In addition to his work as an actor, Christoph Maria Herbst is also a voice actor and lent his voice to characters in the animated films "Ich - Einfach unverbesserlich" and "Hotel Transylvania," among others. He is also active as an audio book narrator and has already recorded several audio books, including "Der Hundertjährige, der aus dem Fenster stieg und verschwand" by Jonas Jonasson.
