Gene Hackman, born January 30, 1930 in San Bernardino, California, is an American actor and writer. He is considered one of the greatest actors of his generation and has appeared in over 90 films.
Hackman began his acting career in the 1960s and quickly gained recognition for his outstanding acting skills. He won the Academy Award for Best Leading Actor twice for his roles in the films "French Connection" (1971) and "Mississippi Burning" (1988).
