Felix von Manteuffel, a German actor and radio play and audio book narrator, was born Friedrich Carl Georg Michael Andreas Baron von Manteuffel called Szoege on May 6, 1945 in Bayrischzell. His ancestors were Baltic Germans and came from Kapsehden (Kurland). His father, Heinrich von Manteuffel, was a commander of the shock troops of the Baltic Army and died in 1946 as an American prisoner of war. His mother, Sibylla von Manteuffel, née Countess zu Pappenheim, was from Budapest.

While still a student at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich, Felix von Manteuffel made his debut as the second coulter in Bertolt Brecht's "Die Ausnahme und die Regel" (The Exception and the Rule) at the Munich Kammerspiele in 1969, after which he was engaged at the Theater Ulm from 1970 to 1972. There he embodied, among other roles, Ferdinand in "Kabale und Liebe" and the title character in "Dantons Tod".

In addition to his theater work, Manteuffel was also active in the field of radio plays and participated in the German version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (1981/82). At the same time, he intensified his work for film and television, appearing in several episodes of the popular crime series "Tatort." He played a notable role in the two-parter "Im Schatten der Macht", where he embodied Walter Scheel.

His filmography includes a wide range of works, including his debut "Goldfüchse" (1974) as well as other films such as "Nach uns die Sintflut" (1996), "Ehebruch - Eine teuflische Falle!" (1996), "Tatort - Aida" (1996), "Der Bulle von Tölz: Bullenkur" (2001) and "Im Schatten der Macht" (2003).
