Phil Harris, real name Wonga Philip Harris, was born on June 24, 1904 in Linton, Indiana. He was an American singer, actor and bandleader best known for his charming personality and unique vocal style.
Harris began his career in the 1920s as a trumpeter and singer in various jazz bands.
