Catherine Zeta-Jones is a Welsh actress known for her roles in such films as "The Mask of Zorro", "Chicago" and "Tempting Trap". She was born on September 25, 1969, in Swansea, Wales.

Zeta-Jones began her career as an actress at the age of 16 in the British television series "The Darling Buds of May." She also starred in several British theater productions before breaking through in Hollywood.

Her first significant role in a Hollywood movie was the female lead in the film "The Mask of Zorro" (1998) alongside Antonio Banderas. The film was a great commercial success and Zeta-Jones' performance was praised by critics.

Her next big success came in 2002 with her role in the musical film "Chicago". The film won several Oscars, including the one for Best Picture, and Zeta-Jones received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Velma Kelly.

In the following years, Zeta-Jones starred in a number of films, including "Tempting Trap" (2003), "The Terminal" (2004), "The Legend of Zorro" (2005) and "No Reservations" (2007).

In addition to her acting career, Zeta-Jones has also worked as a producer and is a supporter of several charities, including the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.

Zeta-Jones was married to actor Michael Douglas from 2000 to 2021 and has two children with him.
