Tim Allen, real name Timothy Allen Dick, was born on June 13, 1953 in Denver, Colorado. He is an American actor, comedian and writer, best known for his roles in successful television series and films.

Allen began his career in the 1980s as a stand-up comedian, performing in clubs. His unique sense of humor and ability to make audiences laugh quickly earned him recognition. In 1991, he received his own sitcom titled "Listen to Who's Hammering," in which he played the home improvement expert Tim Taylor. The series became a great success and brought Allen great popularity. He received several awards and nominations for his portrayal of the lovable but often bumbling janitor.

After the success of "Listen to Who's Hammering," Allen followed other successful projects. He starred in the Christmas comedy "Santa Clause - Eine schöne Bescherung" (1994) and its sequels, which became audience favorites.
