"The Nice Guys" is a 2016 US action comedy film directed by Shane Black and co-written with Anthony Bagarozzi. The plot is set in 1970s Los Angeles and revolves around the disparate private detective Holland March (played by Ryan Gosling) and the rough-and-tumble hitman Jackson Healy (played by Russell Crowe), who reluctantly work together to solve the case of a missing young woman. In the process, they become embroiled in a dangerous conspiracy emanating from the city's highest circles.
In addition to Gosling and Crowe, the film also features Angourie Rice, Matt Bomer and Kim Basinger in important roles. Cinematography was handled by Philippe Rousselot.
