Biographie:
Henry Cavill was born on May 5, 1983 in Jersey, the largest island in the Channel area. His mother worked as a secretary in a bank, while his father worked as a broker. He has four brothers and grew up on the island.

At the age of 16, Cavill began his acting career. He had his first role in the film adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo" in 2002, after which he appeared in several television series, including "Midsomer Murders" and "The Inspector Lynley Mysteries."

Cavill had his international breakthrough in 2007 with his role in the BBC series "The Tudors," in which he portrayed the Duke of Suffolk. This was followed by a starring role in "Blood Creek" and, in 2011, the role of Theseus in "Clash of the Titans."

Cavill's biggest role, however, came in 2013, when he portrayed Superman in the film "Man of Steel." He also played the role in the sequels "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."

In addition to his acting career, Cavill is also an avid video gamer and fitness enthusiast. In 2016, he was named a UNICEF ambassador and has since supported various charitable causes.

Cavill has received multiple nominations for his work, including the Teen Choice Award, the Critics' Choice Television Award and the MTV Movie Award.
