Johnny Depp was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, USA. His mother was a waitress and his father was an engineer. When Depp was 16 years old, he moved to Florida with his family. There he started playing guitar and performed in various bands. However, his music career was not very successful, so he eventually decided to become an actor.

Depp moved to Los Angeles, where he got small roles in movies and television series. His breakthrough came in 1984 in the television series "21 Jump Street", in which he starred for five years. After that, he starred in several films, including "Edward with Scissor Hands" (1990), "Benny & Joon" (1993) and "Donnie Brasco" (1997).

His collaboration with director Tim Burton in such films as "Sleepy Hollow" (1999) and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005) made him one of the most famous and popular actors in Hollywood. In 2003, he played the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean," for which he received an Oscar nomination. The role brought him worldwide recognition and further nominations.

In addition to his acting career, Depp has also worked as a producer and director. In 2012, he produced and starred in "Dark Shadows" directed by Tim Burton. Depp has also made music and performed in various bands.

In recent years, Depp has repeatedly been in the headlines due to his personal problems and his high-profile divorce war with his ex-wife Amber Heard. Nevertheless, he remains one of the most famous and talented actors of his generation.
