Burt Reynolds, born February 11, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan, and died September 6, 2018, was an American actor, director and producer. He is considered one of the defining figures of American cinema of the 1970s and 1980s.

Reynolds began his career as an actor in television in the late 1950s and soon after received his first major film roles. His breakthrough came with the film "Deliverance" (1972), in which he played one of the main roles and earned great recognition for his acting.
