Sylvester Stallone is an American actor, director and screenwriter born on July 6, 1946 in New York City. He is best known for his role as boxer Rocky Balboa in the film series of the same name and as John Rambo in the "Rambo" film series.

Stallone began his career in acting in the 1970s, when he starred in a few smaller films. His breakthrough came in 1976 with the film "Rocky", which he not only starred in, but also wrote the screenplay. The film won three Oscars, including Best Picture, and made Stallone a star.

After that, he starred in a variety of films, including "Rambo," "Tango & Cash," "Demolition Man" and "The Expendables." He also directed and wrote screenplays, including for the film "Rocky II."

Stallone has received many awards and nominations throughout his career, including three Oscar nominations for his role as Rocky Balboa. He is also known for his muscular physique and has shown off his physical fitness and strength in many of his films.

Stallone is also known for his personal life, including his marriage to actresses Sasha Czack and Brigitte Nielsen. He has five children, including actresses Sophia and Sistine Stallone. Stallone is also a philanthropist and supports charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation charity.
